Watch This Uplifting Christmas Marriage Proposal!

In this awesome viral video, a young man named Tyne Owen enlists the help of his girlfriend’s family to pull off a creative marriage proposal.

As you’ll see, the group was together to shoot holiday photos, but with a quick switch (when the bride to be wasn’t looking, of course), the shirts that read “Merry Xmas” were quickly rearranged to “Marry Me?”

Jamie, who was on the receiving end of the proposal, didn’t even notice until she looked at the camera to review the photos. Her reaction is priceless.

This kind of romantic holiday moment is a nice reminder for those of us who have been married for a long time, mostly as a look back to the early stages of our relationships. In those days, like when you were first engaged, the love you had for one another was so fresh, so fierce, that you probably put a TON of effort into the relationship.

Hopefully watching moments like this will help rekindle that spirit a little bit, and help you remember how it feels to be so invested in the quality of your marriage.

This holiday season (and on into the future), remember those early days – before you got used to married life, before the excitement started to taper off – and reinvest your time and energy into making your marriage the best it can be.

May you spend your holidays in love and happiness, Merry Christmas from StrongMarriageNow!

So I did the unthinkable and forgot our anniversary. And.... my wife didn't get upset at all, said we could make next weekend our anniversary. I think this is worth thinking about. If she had done the "traditional " thing and gotten upset - that would have created all sorts of tensions. If we did have dinner it would be a miserable forced thing. She could have scored "points" which I would have resented.

Hi Richard, we agree it's important to keep the small stuff small - https://www.strongmarriagenow.com/marriage-advice-small-stuff-small/ - but try not to forget the things that are important to her too. You don't want her to dismiss it because she doesn't care anymore.
